Perpetual Inventory
Thanks to the radio, your inventory control can be carried out during the business hours, without blocking the access to the point of sale nor mobilizing external personnel. Also known as "perpetual inventory" this method is now well accepted from the tax point of view and can replace the annual inventory under certain conditions. Typically, the EPSILON 2 in EUROTX 433 MHz or Bluetooth version makes it possible to carry out this perpetual inventory. The TXcom handheld terminals bring immediate savings in terms of personnel, inventory duration, point of sales immobilization and loss of earnings.

Labeling by the Presentational Shelving
In the retail industry, a common application is the price modification to speed up the sales in the following cases:
- the perishable goods reaching the expiry date. By looking at the lettuce freshness or the expiry date of the precut meat, the ray manager can propose a discount instantaneously
- new discount at sale price. Here also, the shop manager can modify the price to adapt to the actual market demand.
The process to edit a new label while standing close to the shelving is nearly always the same. The operator reads the item barcode by using the scanner of the EPSILON 2. This results in the download of product information into the terminal: price, quantities, cost, batch number, shelving place, etc. The operator can then type a new price or a new discount rate on the keyboard that is automatically transmitted to the information system . Then, the operator simply asks for the printing of the new label while pressing on a function key. The new label is transmitted by Bluetooth® radio to compact portable printers such as the models of the Zebra or Toshiba TEC companies.

Queue Buster
Today, the wireless handheld terminals are used as 'queue buster'. While customers walk in the coffee shop in direction of the bar, a waiter takes the orders for drinks or other fresh dishes to be prepared such as the sandwiches. Arrived at the bar with his coffee, the customer is awaited by his snack, and does not have to wait at the cash point his snack to be prepared.
