Food processing traceability

As of January 1, 2005, new rules govern the supply chain of food processing!
By the application of the European law (EC) n° 178/2002, the traceability become a true legal requirement. This act relates to all the companies of the food processing industry and states, at article 18, a general obligation of traceability as from January 1, 2005. The companies must be able to identify their suppliers and their customers, and to have systems allowing to place this information at the disposal of the proper authorities.
For more than 15 years, TXcom has proposed automated solutions to trace the food products, to control the food preparations, to label the batches, to manage stocks, to track the parcels thanks to its complete range of portable terminals and embedded terminals.

Quality control on automobile line of assembly

When managing the quality of production, there can be more quality controllers, than skilled workers able to touch up such or such part without stopping the chain of production. Equipped with the terminal EPSILON 2, the retouch guy is notified by the Epsilon 2 vibrator or buzzer of a new mission. He looks at the display of his terminal and reads the location where he must go. Lastly, it can scan the defective parts or to manually input and send failure codes, which are retransmitted by radio to the information system. In real time, the information system knows the frequency and the kind of manufacturing defect, which makes it possible to engage the corrective actions at the process level.

Free access storage slots for dangerous products

The first reflex regarding the storage of dangerous goods, is to build a closed area with controlled access in order to avoid unfortunate movements of these dangerous SKUs. The problem with these limited access areas is that they are costly in terms of infrastructure, they slows down the SKU movements and thus the productivity. TXcom imagined a system "stop-forks" as long as the driver is not located in front of the right storage slot. Electrical switches commanded by the BALADYOM embedded terminal prevent the forks from moving, thus preventing from handling pallets if the carriage is not stopped opposite the right slot. As a consequence, there is no need anymore for costly limited-access areas and the productivity is greatly enhanced while ensuring the same level of security.
